Description

Explore the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) through the AAP's' free Virtual Intro to PM&R program. Open to all U.S. and international medical students (MS1–MS4), this expert-led series features faculty from across the country who will introduce you to the breadth of rehabilitation medicine and the many career opportunities within the specialty.

Participants will explore a wide range of PM&R topics, including:

Sports Medicine
Spinal Cord Injury Medicine
Pediatric Rehabilitation
Brain Injury & Stroke Rehabilitation
Cancer Rehabilitation
Disabilities and Physician Bias
Rehabilitation Research
PM&R Career Pathways and Training
Emerging Areas in Rehabilitation Medicine

There is no cost to participate, making this an excellent opportunity to discover whether PM&R is the right fit for you.

Program Details

How the Program Works

Become an AAP Member
- Join AAP (if you are not already a member) for just $65 annually.
Register for the Program
- Complete your Virtual Intro to PM&R registration before the deadline.
Access Course Materials
- Beginning July 15, participants will receive access to the Virtual Campus and all recorded sessions.
Complete the Educational Sessions
- Watch the nine recorded webinars at your own pace during the program period.
Attend the Live Panel Discussion
- Participate in the "Day in the Life" session or watch the recording afterward.

Participants who complete all ten (10) program sessions by August 31 will receive a certificate of completion from AAP.

You'll have access to all course materials throughout the program, and if you can't attend the live panel discussion, a recording will be available afterward. Best of all, you can complete the entire curriculum from anywhere in the world.
