Dr. Sommer is a Sports Medicine Fellow at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital/Mass General Brigham/Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Washington. Having trained in both the Canadian and American medical systems, completing his medical degree at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba, Dr. Sommer brings a unique cross-border perspective to patient care. His clinical and research interests center on diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, orthobiologics and regenerative medicine, and extracorporeal shockwave therapy. Dr. Sommer plans to pursue a career in academic sports medicine, with a continued emphasis on translating evidence-based practices into high-value patient-centered care.
