Congratulations!

We are thrilled that you will be presenting a session and/or poster at Physiatry ‘21, the AAP’s 2021 Annual Meeting. Thank you for joining us in our mission to connect physiatry professionals, encourage collaboration and education, and advance the specialty. We look forward to seeing you and learning from you on February 9-13, 2021 at the Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim, California.

Tools to Prepare & Share

Now that you know your proposal was accepted for Physiatry ‘21, we have a bit of housekeeping we need to take care of. We know there’s a lot to go over and we promise to take up as little of your time as possible.

  1. If you are presenting an educational session, stay tuned for details on how to confirm your session time/s, upload your headshot and biography, and, when ready, upload your presentation files.

  2. If you are presenting a poster, here are guidelines and resources to help you prepare.

  3. Physiatry ‘21 would not be what it is without amazing presenters such as you. We want to help you draw an audience for your big ideas. Here are helpful tools to market yourself at Physiatry ‘21. Post on your website, your social media pages, and share with the AAP.
    1. Spread the word about your accepted session and/or abstract using our “I’m presenting” graphics via email, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and any other digital platform you use.
    2. Write a blog post about your accepted topic. Please coordinate with Jackie Dilworth to get your post on the AAP's editorial calendar. Also, if you write one on your own blog or that of your institution’s, let us know so we can share!
    3. Create a 60-second video encouraging people to attend your presentation. As Physiatry ‘21 attendees start planning their schedules, we want to help them get acquainted with you and your topic. Email your completed video so we can publish and share.
    4. The event hashtag is #Physiatry21. Share, share, share!

  4. Registration for Physiatry ’21 opens in September 2020. As a speaker and/or poster presenter, you must register to attend the conference (no complimentary registrations are given). If you are or have international speakers or non-physiatry speakers, please contact Candace Street for registration information.

  5. We respectfully request that all speakers and scientific paper presenters use our branded slides for their presentations. Please use this link to download the slides. Upload your completed PowerPoint presentation no later than Friday, January 10, 2021 (instructions on where to upload your presentation are forthcoming).

Creating a schedule with the amount of content we have is very complicated, and we need your cooperation to be flexible with us. Please do not plan meetings, sightseeing trips, or other activities until you know the date and time of your session. It is very difficult to make changes once the schedule is set.


We also request that all of our presenters spend time at the conference, beyond your scheduled presentation/s. Our attendees are eager to spend time with our thought leaders, so please schedule time to attend some of our networking events, exhibit floor and hallway schmoozing.
