Our Mission
To create a thriving future for physiatry through funding innovative education and leadership initiatives.

Our Goals
We aim to strengthen existing physiatry leadership programs, launch new initiatives that empower a diverse and talented next generation, and expand physiatry capacity on a global scale.

What We Fund

Mission Innovation – recognizes and awards PM&R depts & training programs that support initiatives in wellness, innovation in education, DEI, and global outreach.

Leadership Scholarships – scholarships for RMSTP (research training), PAL (leadership training), and APPL (advocacy training).

Medical Student Programs – annual Meeting scholarships and RREMS stipends for outstanding medical students.

FAB Expectations

FAB will primarily meet via monthly video conference calls, with one in-person meeting at the AAP Annual Meeting (though attendance at the Annual Meeting is not required to serve).

We are looking for members who will:

✓ Be knowledgeable about and committed to the Physiatry Foundation’s mission

✓ Be proactive advocates and champions of our cause

✓ Embrace and help foster a culture of philanthropy

✓ Attend meetings regularly and actively participate in discussions

✓ Bring bold, creative ideas to life to uplift the future of physiatry

✓ Review and score applications for scholarships and grants
