Tiffany received her JD from Hamline University and her MBA from St. Thomas - both Minnesota schools. After graduating from law school, she worked as a lobbyist for a health maintenance organization. She then moved to Rochester,
MN and started non-profit association work with the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. After helping pass physician-only electrodiagnostic medicine legislation in a couple of states, she moved
to Georgia to work with the American College of Rheumatology overseeing government affairs, a political action committee, insurance and coding departments for seven years. Tiffany is happy to be working with physiatrists again
and meeting old friends. She lives in Baltimore, MD with her teenage son and daughter and rescue beagle Holly.
Bernadette has been with the AAP nearly 10 years, starting in 2010 as the Communications Manager. Prior to the AAP, she contributed to the medical field in various sales and marketing roles. In her current position, Bernadette
facilitates and strengthens partnerships between the AAP and business, industry and philanthropic organizations. These relationships are crucial to the growth and scope of the AAP and the advancement of its mission. Bernadette
and her husband are involved in their son’s many sports programs and love watching him play.
Jackie is a versatile PR and marketing professional with ten years in the nonprofit industry - previously as the Director of Communications for the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington and Communications & Advocacy Manager for The Family
Tree. At the AAP, she oversees all advertising and communications strategies, which includes the Annual Meeting, membership, website, social media, direct mail and email. Jackie also manages the AAP's Membership Committee and
Resident/ Fellow Council. In her free time, you'll find her teaching yoga. Jackie lives in Baltimore, MD with her rescue cat Bram.
Laura has spent a majority of her career working in association management, most of it with the Maryland Association of CPAs having served in various roles during her tenure. She brings with her over 25 years of experience and is excited to now be the Education Specialist for the AAP. In this role, she works closely with the Education Director, assisting with the planning and implementation of premier academic physiatry events and activities. She is also responsible for the AAP's Virtual Campus, an online learning portal that provide continuous learning for academic physiatrists. In her spare time, Laura enjoys being outdoors. She loves animals, nature, historic buildings, and restoring/painting vintage furniture.
Jewel is a dedicated membership specialist and brings 9+ years’ experience in the health care industry to the AAP. Her previous position, with the University of Maryland School of Medicine, gave her a unique view into the daily
lives of physicians and hospital staff, and she uses this insight to effectively communicate with and anticipate the needs of members here at the AAP. Jewel oversees memberships and annual meeting registration and also acts
as the staff representative for the Program Coordinators Council and the Administrative Directors Council. When Jewel is not at the AAP, you can find her gaming with her husband and two sons, painting, or trying new recipes.
Amy brings more than 20 years of association and non-profit experience to the AAP. She currently works closely with the AAP's Program for Academic Leadership (PAL), medical student programs, Research Committee, volunteers, awards,
and manages abstracts for the AAP Annual Meeting. When she’s not at the AAP, Amy spends her time working at her family’s cut flower farm on the Eastern Shore, going to concerts, volunteering with 4-H, and participating in GISH
(Greatest International Scavenger Hunt).
