Description
Do you oversee the administrative, financial and/or operational functions of a PM&R department or division? Then you belong in the AAP’s Administrative Directors Council!
We are tasked with addressing and overseeing business issues within academic PM&R programs including health care reform, finance management, physician compensation, productivity metrics, research management, career development, strategic planning, operational success and more. These are daunting tasks (and ever-evolving!), which is why we work together to grow our resources, collaboration and camaraderie through the Council and AAP Annual Meeting.
Administrative Directors at Annual Meeting
Every year at the AAP’s Annual Meeting, the Administrative Directors Council puts together workshops and sessions designed to help you develop the right skills, resources, and mindset to succeed. Each year, we hold a workshop and social event that joins department leaders – Chairs & Administrative Directors – to learn and network together.
Here’s a look at some of the subjects we have touched on in past Physiatry meetings:
Best Practices for Administrator & Coordinator Collaborations
Emergency Planning
Best Practices to Mitigate Burnout & Promote Wellness in the Age of COVID-19
Joint Chair Council & Administrative Directors Council Business Meeting
The Administrative Directors Council strives to create a community for all coordinators year-round. So when we’re not connecting at the AAP’s Annual Meeting, you can get updates in the AAP’s newsletter, Physiatry Forward, as well as on our member listserv. You can also email us if you have any tips or ideas to share.
Career Center
Administrative Director members of the AAP receive a discount on job postings on AAP’s Career Center – recruit with confidence knowing you’re reaching the top minds in physiatry at every career level.
