Program for Academic Leadership Application

Submission Requirements

  1. Candidates must be nominated by their PM&R Academic Department or Division chair. If the institution has no PM&R Department or Division, then a nomination can also come from a member of the AAP Board of Trustees or AAP Committee Chair in adition to their current Chair (non-PMR). The nomination letter (1 to 2 pages) should discuss the candidate’s past achievements, current academic activities and potential for future academic success. Applications will not be considered without this nomination letter.
  2. Candidates current Curriculum Vitae.
  3. A personal statement of approximately 500 words confirming the candidate’s academic career goals and desire to participate in this program.

***Please note that starting in 2018 there will be a tuition fee for PAL of $1,000 per year ($3,000 for all three years).***

Applications for the 2018 Program for Academic Leadership (PAL) are no longer being accepted.
