Guidelines and Standards as outlined by
The Americans with Disabilities Act

 "Dedicated to Improving the Quality of Life for People with Disabilities."

PURPOSE

The intent of this document is to assist association representatives in determining a facility's level of compliance in meeting the architectural standards set out in the Americans with Disabilities Act. There are no direct references to minimum codes for compliance and not all aspects of the standards released by the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board are addressed in the checklist. ENTRANCES, CORRIDORS AND STAIRS

  1. Is the accessible entrance clearly marked?
