WELCOME TO THE Medical Student Educators Council!
The AAP Medical Student Educators Council is a group of physiatrists who focus on educating medical students in new and innovative ways regarding rehabilitation, disability, and advocacy. All AAP members who meet the qualifications are welcome to be members of the council.
The mission of the Medical Student Educators Council is consistent with the mission of the AAP which is to create the future of academic physiatry through mentorship, leadership and discovery. The council offers opportunities for anyone interested in medical education and ehancing PM&R in their home institution to communicate important information, generate ideas, alert the appropriate people to critical issues and provide collegial support.

The council has taken the lead in updating the AAP’s White Papers. We want to include all of those who are committed in these important topics. Please review the current White Papers here, and sign up to be involved in revisions. We are focusing on:
- Admissions to Medical School of Candidates with Disability
- Integration of Curriculum on Disability and Chronic Care into Undergraduate Medical Education
