The University of California Irvine announced the appointment of Dr.
Danielle Perret as the Assistant Dean for Resident Affairs. In this role, Dr.
Perret will focus on preparing the institution and programs for the new CLER
(Clinical Learning Environment Review) requirements. Her efforts will focus on
resident wellness, patient safety and quality improvement, faculty supervision,
and duty hours compliance.
Dr. Perret is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
and Pain Medicine. She currently serves as the Pain Medicine Fellowship
director and Associate Director of the PMR Residency Program. She is well
published in the field of Pain Medicine and serves on multiple hospital and SOM
committees. For her contributions to GME, including the establishment of a new
Chief Resident's Training Conference, she was awarded the first annual GME
Service Award this year.
