Cover letter should contain the corresponding author’s contact information and explain briefly what is important or new about the content of the manuscript.
Use the following email address for sending (1) cover letter .doc, (2) manuscript .doc (single document including title page with author information and disclosures, abstract and key words, text, references, figure legends, and acknowledgments; and (3) any tables as individual Word .doc files: journal@physiatry.org
Subject Line of the email should be: New Manuscript Submission.
All figures must be uploaded. (The upload address will be provided via email upon request.)
All figures must be uploaded as TIF image files labeled as Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.
Photographs must be uploaded as 300 dpi resolution TIF files. Charts and graphs and line art must be uploaded as 1200 dpi resolution TIF files.
Helpful Note: The dpi resolution of your image is shown in the file/properties window when the image is on the computer screen. Charts and graphs should be created in MS Excel.
In addition to the TIF image files, upload the original individual .xls files for each figure so the fonts can be adjusted as needed. Use Arial 10 pt bold for all fonts. Style and design of charts and graphs should follow examples of charts and graphs previously published in the Journal.
